Pinot Noir, Martinborough Estate 2008 (12)   ::   $240.00 240.00

Aromas of plums and mocha and lovely floral notes dominate the nose.  There is an underlying spicy/cinnamon complexity already evident at this early stage and will develop savoury, gamey characters with bottle age.  Some silky tannins accentuate the fruit, giving a beautifully integrated wine.

Decant this young wine six hours ahead of serving and enjoy it as it unfolds.

Pinot Noir is particularly lovely with food.  Try it with lamb, quail, pheasant, or duck. Sensational with mature cheeses.  Great to enjoy now or cellar until to 2012.

Critics, Reviews, Awards

Lester Jesberg
“Te Kairanga has now taken its place among the best of Martinborough, one of the New Zealand’s elite wine regions.  We will hear much more of the name”.

The Daily California Food (USA),   Joe Krulderk
“I zeroed in on Te Kairanga for a couple of reasons; first, of course, being the quality of their wines.  Second, they represent nicely what’s being done today in the Burgundy region of New Zealand.  Third, the price-to-quality ratio.”
