Our Cellar Door sales are in The Cottage – the home of John Martin’s senior stockman, built over 140 years ago. It is a classic farm cottage design of its time made from Totara wood milled from the farm. It has housed several local personalities as well as the wonderful New Zealand poet Sam Hunt. Recently it featured on a New Zealand produced television programme. Literally thousands of people from all four corners of the world visit The Cottage every year and it is central to the success of our major events held annually. During summertime (Sept 1 to April 30) The Cottage is open 7 days a week, available for tastings: from 10am - 4pm Monday and Tuesday, from 10am - 5pm Wednesday to Sunday. With its rustic and inviting surroundings, and intimate auditorium, the cottage is one of the most visited vineyard sites in Martinborough. Winter hours of operation (May 1 to Aug 31). Sunday through to Thursday 10am - 4pm, Friday and Saturday 10am -5pm. Make the most of our gorgeous outdoor picnic area with friends and family - byo picnics or purchase a range of deli style snacks on site to enjoy with a bottle of TK wine.
